NEXT season's Vanarama National League is beginning to take shape, with one team confirming promotion on Saturday afternoon.

Tamworth will be joining York City in next season's National League, should the Minstermen survive the drop, after securing the Vanarama National League North title this weekend.

The Lambs have incredibly managed back-to-back promotions to reach England's fifth tier, winning the Southern League Premier Division in 2022, and then the National League North 12 months later.

Andy Peaks' side needed just one point to be mathematically out of reach of third-placed Chorley, who had games in hand on Tamworth, and held on for a 1-1 draw with Warrington Town.

Nathan Tshikuna put the Lambs ahead in the 31st minute before Dubem Eze drew Warrington level with 53 minutes on the clock, seeing Tamworth reach 90 points with two games remaining.

Elsewhere, Yeovil Town missed out on the opportunity to also secure the champion status in the Vanarama National League South, despite needing just a win.

They were thwarted by Adam Hinshelwood's former side Worthing, who beat the league leaders 3-1 at Huish Park thanks to a brace from Ollie Pearce and a 44th minute strike by Brad Dolaghan, before a consolation goal from Alex Fisher.
