YORK City goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy has been listed on England C's contingency squad ahead of their trip to Cymru C later this month.

Non-league's Three Lions will travel to Llanelli Town's Stebonheath Park for the fifth instalment of the annual fixture on Tuesday, March 19.

Sykes-Kenworthy has been a mainstay for the Minstermen since his October move from Bradford (Park Avenue), keeping five clean sheets in 20 appearances.

He also has an assist to his name, with Billy Chadwick scoring from his sliced pass against Wealdstone last Saturday.

Former City midfielder Dan Pybus has been included in Paul Fairclough's 16-man squad for the fixture.

Pybus started the Minstermen's two opening Vanarama National League fixtures before joining Dorking Wanderers in August after an apparent disagreement with then-manager Michael Morton.

Since his departure, the 26-year-old has featured twice against his former club, and scored his first Dorking goal in their shock 4-1 triumph against runaway leaders Chesterfield last weekend.

Olly Dyson, who came on as a second-half substitute in England's triumph last year, is not included this time around.

One of York's standouts last season, he has struggled to regain that form this term, subsequently joining Vanarama National League North side Scarborough Athletic on loan in January.

Fairclough's selection however does include Worthing hotshot Ollie Pearce, who has earned his first international call-up after scoring a blistering 33 goals, the majority under newly-appointed City boss Adam Hinshelwood.
