AFC FYLDE boss Chris Beech ensured that he will not underestimate York City, despite their recent drop into the Vanarama National League relegation zone.
Beech's Fylde find themselves three points clear of the drop zone after five victories in their last eight matches, with the Coasters claiming an important 4-1 triumph over Maidenhead United on Saturday.
The Fylde boss however has ruled out any chance of underestimating a 'brand new opponent' in York, with Beech sending under-18's manager Conrad Prendergast to watch City's 3-2 defeat to Wealdstone on Saturday due to the Coasters lacking an official Chief Scout.
“Tuesday is a brand new day and a brand new opponent," Beech told the Fylde media team.
"We have to understand York’s new strengths under new managements, Conrad has been helping me from the academy.
"We don’t have a Chief Scout, we don’t have someone who can go and watch an opponent so I asked him today (Saturday) to go and watch York because it is important.
"We have live information from that change of strategy that they will have, they’ve talked about a big change in strategy in the papers if you read the notes.
"It’s good that he’s gone and watched them, but everything is individual and everything is different, so we’ve got to make sure that we are at our best when we represent Fylde."
