RESULTS elsewhere in the Vanarama National League meant that York City are now level on points with the relegation zone.

Victories for Kidderminster Harriers, Woking and Southend United on Tuesday  night meant that results didn't go in the favour of York, who now only remain outside of the drop zone on goal difference.

Ten-men Kidderminster secured a 1-0 victory over promotion-chaser Solihull Moors in a Midlands derby, thanks to Jack Lambert's pinpoint finish in the 49th minute.

Woking, who also had ten-men, played out a thrilling 3-2 win over Gateshead, with Lewis Walker, Charley Kendall and Ricky Korboa all leading the charge for the Cardinals.

Three points for Southend sees Kevin Maher's side drag themselves further away from the relegation conversation, with the Shrimpers now five points clear after Harry Cardwell and Wes Fonguck's strikes prompted a 2-1 victory.

Newly-appointed City boss Adam Hinshelwood will have a task on his hands, with the Minstermen sitting level with Kidderminster on 39 points, only having a better goal difference of two.

Woking are hot on the tails of the two sides on 38 points, also holding a better goal difference than the two, with Dorking Wanderers now second from bottom, also on 38 points but with a match in hand on York.

Saturday's match with Wealdstone at the LNER Community Stadium (3pm) will be an opportunity for City to keep their heads afloat under Hinshelwood, who replaced Neal Ardley on Tuesday evening.
