RYAN FALLOWFIELD has been rewarded for his efforts in York City's 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday by being named in the Non-League Paper Team of the Week.

The right-back helped York to earn a point against a Dagenham outfit that had taken the lead in the 11th minute, after Jake Hessenthaler headed the visitors in front after escaping his marker from a Daggers corner.

Fallowfield drew the scores level in the 43rd minute when meeting a pinpoint cross from Danny Amos, with the City vice-captain arrowing an effort into the bottom right corner and beating Elliot Justham.

It was Fallowfield's fourth goal of the season, having also scored important goals against Woking, AFC Fylde and Gateshead earlier on in the campaign.

The 28-year-old has been an ever-present for the Minstermen this season, making 30 appearances in the Vanarama National League after a suspension that kept him out of York's opening three fixtures.
