JACK STOTT is back in the Vanarama National League, having joined Gateshead on an initial one-month loan.
Stott, who appeared for York City towards the beginning of the 2023/24 season, is back in the National League having completed a short-term loan deal to play-off chasers Gateshead from Sky Bet Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
The young midfielder initially joined York in late August on a loan deal until January 1, but his spell was cut short after the arrival of manager Neal Ardley.
Stott had only made two appearances for City in that time but suffered with injuries throughout the spell.
Having returned to Middlesbrough and featured in the club’s academy, making four appearances in the Premier League Two division, the Championship side have opted for Stott to return to first-team football with Gateshead, who have lost multiple players since the beginning of January.
That includes Billy Chadwick to York, along with the likes of Archie Mair, Kyran Lofthouse and Stephen Wearne, who have all moved to higher-division clubs.
Stott made his first Gateshead start in Wednesday night’s match with Chesterfield, falling to a disastrous 5-0 defeat to the National League leaders.
