CALLUM HOWE has been named in the Vanarama National League Team of the Week for his display against Rochdale on Saturday.
Howe played a pivotal role in the York backline as Neal Ardley's side clinched a point in a 0-0 draw against play-off chasers Rochdale, with Howe also earning the Press' man-of-the-match.
The defender was brought back into the starting eleven after being handed a rest from the squad in City's demeaning 3-2 defeat to Nantwich Town the week prior, seeing the Minstermen exit the Isuzu FA Trophy to lower league opposition.
Howe started alongside defender Will Smith in a back four, with Smith re-joining the club in midweek from Harrogate Town, with the latter also taking time to credit Howe after the match when speaking to the Press.
The National League Team of the Week: Craig Ross (Maidenhead United); Jaydn Mundle-Smith (Wealdstone), Callum Reynolds (Bromley), Callum Howe (York City), Paul Osew (Woking); Nathan Sheron (Oldham Athletic), Tom Naylor (Chesterfield), Kane Thompson-Sommers (FC Halifax Town); Tyrone Marsh (Boreham Wood), Paul McCallum (Chesterfield), Chris Conn-Clarke (Altrincham).
