Kai Widdrington has shared an important update to Strictly Come Dancing fans after his partner, singer and actress Delta Goodrem, was forced to skip a week due to injury.

The 2026 competition is well underway now, with the celebrities relying on top performances and high scores from the judges.

The pair didn’t dance last week as Goodrem was nursing a rib injury, but now, professional dancer Widdrington has told fans whether they can expect them to be back this week.

Speaking to Digital Spy at The Pride of Britain Awards this week, Kai explained: “We're happy to be back training and looking forward to the weekend.

“She had a little injury, but she's all good.

“She's back, she's training, her head is in the right place, and yeah, we're just training like we would any other weekend to get back to get ready for Saturday.”

This morning (October 21), Delta took to Instagram to share a video of her dancing with Kai, with the caption: “Team is back

“Missed this so much!

“Gentle moves still but just the best feeling to be back in the room #stepbystep”.

This week is not a themed week, but the final week of October will be Halloween Week with fans to expect spooky costumes and songs.
