We couldn’t even get through August without Christmas chocolate landing on supermarket shelves and the likes of B&M bringing out their festive decorations.
But all wreaths, stockings and baubles aside, we really will be opening the first door on our advent calendars before we know it – why does Christmas arrive faster every year?
Although chocolate advent calendars will always have the key to our hearts, it’s safe to say beauty advent calendars are certainly having their moment, with the likes of Liberty, Elemis and Space NK selling out within hours every year.
Lush advent calendars 2025 review – I was left speechless
@uktoday_ Take a look at every product inside the Lush 2025 advent calendars… I was left speechless 🎅🏻 🛁 #lush #adventcalendar #beautyadventcalendar #christmas ♬ Christmas Music - Memusic
Among the hottest and most in-demand beauty advent calendars this year are those from Lush - two iconic festive boxes packed with the latest Christmas-themed bath bombs, bubble bars and shower gels, to name a few.
For as long as I can remember, being able to open a Lush advent calendar on a frosty (and often dull) December morning has been on my bucket list, and this year, I’ve been lucky enough to tick it off (yes, four months early, but there’s a very important reason).
As a die-hard Lush fan for the best part of 15 years and counting, I know just how fast Lush’s advent calendars fly off shelves, but at long last, I now understand why.
By a miracle and probably thanks to my imaginary Lush fairy godmother, I got my hands on the classic Lush Advent Calendar and the 29½ High Street Advent Calendar for the first time.
Have you thought about which beauty advent calendar you would like for Christmas 2025? (Image: Molly Court/Newsquest) Ahead of the 2025 festive season, let me tell you why I was left speechless and whether they are 100% worth the eye-watering cost - I think they could make all your Lush dreams come true this Christmas.
Lush Advent Calendar - £205 (25 products)
This seems to be the classic advent calendar from Lush this year, and includes almost everything you could wish for from the cosmetic brand, such as bath bombs, bubble bars, shower gels, body lotions, body scrubs, soaps, a candle, and even a pair of socks (I kid you not).
The box, which was designed by Shruti Gadhvi, is quite literally a work of art, and I’m already planning on how I can reuse it.
It’s bright, it’s bold, and it opens like a treasure chest, which I think is quite fitting for all the surprises hiding inside. It makes you want to open it again and again.
Among the 25 beauty products, there are year-round favourites, items from Lush’s Christmas range, and ten gift exclusives.
You can also buy a refill for this Lush advent calendar (Image: Molly Court/Newsquest) Highlight: Christmas Eve scented candle, an exclusive gift for the calendar.

Although I opened this Lush advent calendar a few days ago now, I could still burst with excitement thinking about it, and that speaks volumes. It's certainly my favourite of the two.
It’s designed by Sherrie Tilley and named after the brand's original shop location at 29 High Street in Poole, Dorset, with captivating, colourful designs and illustrated Christmas scenes (the bath bomb roof was a favourite of mine). You won’t be able to stop looking at it.
Opening the house-shaped box essentially feels like being given the keys to the magical Wonka Factory of bath bombs, and I quickly became obsessed with rummaging through the eco pops behind each door to see what I was going to find.
It’s bursting with bath bombs and bubble bars (this is certainly the one to go for if you are a bath-obsessed like me), and similar to the classic Lush advent calendar, it contains year-round favourites, products from the Christmas range, and some gift exclusives.
The most beautiful beauty advent calendar I have ever seen (Image: Molly Court/Newsquest) Highlight: the little family of butterbears, three exclusive gifts for the calendar.

These Lush bath bombs and bubble bars will last me for months (Image: Molly Court/Newsquest) I was quite impressed with just how different both of the Lush advent calendars were, with hardly any of the same products in either of them.
But are they worth the price? It’s no secret that Lush advent calendars are expensive, yet for the fanatics out there who can appreciate the quality of the products, I think they are something every loyal Lush customer deserves.

As you get 25 products in each calendar, I’m certain the supply of endless bath bombs, bubble bars, shower gels and beyond will last months and are sure to make the long, dark, winter days a little (or a lot) brighter.
Just like making a cup of coffee gets me out of bed every morning most of the year, I know waking up to a mini Lush shop every day in December will do the job too.
The Lush Advent Calendar and Lush 29½ High Street Advent Calendar are available to buy online now, while stock lasts.
