AN anthology of poetry, artwork and photographs has been released as part of the York 800 celebrations.
The book includes original works from the York City Archives and a selection of poems about the city.
A CD will also be released with recordings of poets reciting their work. The book and CD were launched at the Guildhall, where authors and poets performed excerpts of their work.
The anthology is in collaboration with York Stories 2012, a community project for the York 800 celebrations.
Coun Sonja Crisp said: “This book is a fantastic collection of pieces brought together to commemorate York 800 and to inspire future generations to celebrate the city in so many creative ways.”
