MATT DICKENSON has been named Acomb Hockey Club’s first team player of the year.
Dickenson received the accolade at the Yorkshire League club’s presentation ceremony at the York Novotel.
Dickenson’s gong followed a superb individual campaign in which he also finished as top goalscorer.
The men’s second team player of the year was Dave Morris, who was also named the club’s most improved male player and sportsman of the year.
Kerry Woods was the top women’s player, while Liz Harrison was most improved female player.
Hannah Yoward was the top goalscorer in the women’s team.
Clubman of the year was Bob Dickenson.
