A FUNDRAISING golf day will be held at Allerthorpe Park Golf Club near Pocklington, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Teams of four golfers will battle it out on Thursday, June 28, to win prizes such as full car valets and wine and golfing equipment, provided by local businesses who have also sponsored holes on the course.
Tournament organiser Delia Smith, a member of the BHF Pocklington Branch, said: “Every six minutes someone dies of a heart attack and by taking part in this competition, golfers with be helping the BHF to continue its life-saving work.
“We’re really pleased with the corporate support and turn out, with 16 teams so far from golf clubs across North and East Yorkshire taking part to raise funds.”
