A NEW bus service will run between York and Market Weighton from this month.
East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS), has created the Wicstun Express service, which will start on Monday, March 21, and run direct to York from Market Weighton, on the A1079, without going through Pocklington. The service, which will also stop at Hayton, Kexby Bridge and Osbaldwick, will run between Monday and Saturday, with day return fares costing £6.
Residents in Market Weighton will also be receiving a special introductory money-saving voucher through their door before the service begins. Other changes will also be made to several EYMS services to York, including the X46, 744, 746, 195 and 18A.
Timetable leaflets for all these routes will be available from the Bus It promotion bus, which will be outside Tesco in Market Weighton between 10am and 2pm on Saturday. The timetables can also be downloaded at eyms.co.uk
