CHRIS Brass has sounded out Mick McCarthy regarding the availability of Sunderland starlets.
The City boss held face to face talks with the Black Cats chief McCarthy after Wednesday's friendly.
A special agreement between the clubs means City can sign players from Sunderland on loan with the Black Cats' continuing to pick up their wages.
Brass admitted Sunderland's own cash problems could restrict the number of players available, at least in the early stages of the season.
"We discussed the relationship. He needs to see things settle down there first before we can start to look at bringing lads in," explained Brass.
"But he is more than happy for us to have the relationship and I am sure during the course of the season we will use it."
The City Supporters' Trust is quids in thanks to youngsters at Skelton Primary School.
A sponsored penalty shoot-out at the school, organised by City's Football in the Community officer Paul Olsson, raised £1,600.
Half the money has been donated to the trust.
Matthew Simmons raised the most money - £107 - and will receive a new City strip.
