A NEW store is bringing a touch of Scandinavia to a Yorkshire high street - with free giveaways planned.
Danish lifestyle and homeware brand Søstrene Grene will open its first East Yorkshire shop in Beverley on Friday (October 23) at 9:59 am.
Located on Toll Gavel in the town centre, the store promises a 'Scandinavian shopping experience' with homewares, kitchen essentials, craft supplies, and seasonal décor - with the brand already proving to be a hit in York.

Mikkel Grene, group CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, said: "We’re delighted to be bringing Søstrene Grene to East Riding of Yorkshire for the first time.
"Beverley is a wonderful addition to our UK store portfolio and we look forward to introducing the local community to our collections and distinctive shopping experience.

Inspired by the Danish concept of "hygge", Søstrene Grene has more than 400 stores and hopes to open a further 100 stores across the UK in the next couple of years.
The store will feature the brand’s signature winding layout, designed to create a calming and immersive environment with soft lighting and classical music.
To celebrate the launch, the first 100 customers in the queue will receive a voucher for one of the brand’s woollen throws.
Additional visitors can enjoy complimentary tote bags filled with selected Søstrene Grene products and live entertainment.
