"It’s a privilege to be returning to the Gardens again next year and to be announcing Olly Murs today. We’re looking forward to revealing everything else in store for 2027."

Olly, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2009, has since released eight studio albums and achieved multiple number one singles, including Heart Skips a Beat and Troublemaker.

Comedians Russell Howard, Ross Noble, and Joanne McNally also headlined as part of the sister event, York Comedy Festival.

For the first event, York’s Shed Seven headlined Museum Gardens in 2024, leading the way for other acts to follow with the event being the first time that the park had staged a major rock gig since the 1970s and 80s.

Jocelyn Palmer, senior events manager at York Museums Trust, said: "We are so excited to bring Live at Museum Gardens back for another year, continuing our wonderful partnership with the team at Futuresound.
