AN ICONIC train returned to the tracks yesterday (Wednesday).
The Flying Scotsman took part in a launch trip between York and Scarborough as part of its return to the mainline railway network.
Throughout this autumn, the engine is operating on trips throughout Britain - to destinations like Newcastle, Minehead, Bristol and many other places.
A spokesperson for Fox & Edwards Events said: "Today, marks the start of an exciting period of new options for our passengers. Our small but determined team are working hard to make railway heritage even more beloved."
