A POST-PUNK band were left stunned after hearing their music played during a match at Elland Road.

Bridlington trio Feral Family were "floored" when their latest single The Razor was played during half-time at Elland Road when Leeds United were already 3-0 up against Newcastle United on September 14.

The band, who are lifelong Leeds fans, shared the moment on their social media after it was captured on video by Elland Road’s master of music, "Big" Leigh Nicholson.

Steve Rosier of Rosier Artist Management said: "Yorkshire post-punk trio Feral Family were floored last night (September 14) to hear their new single The Razor played at Elland Road at half-time when Leeds United were already 3-0 up against Newcastle.

"As lifelong Leeds supporters, the band were thrilled when Elland Road's master of music 'Big' Leigh Nicholson sent them a video of the track being played (which the band subsequently shared on their socials)."

The band described the experience as "surreal" and will return to Leeds for a headline show at Royal Park Cellars on December 4.

Frontman Jamie Lowe said: "From the moment I heard the music for this track, I knew this song was gonna be about some sh*t I had going on."

Feral Family, who cite influences such as Fontaines D.C., IDLES, and Interpol, have enjoyed a breakthrough year.

Their music has received support from BBC Introducing, Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, and John Kennedy on Radio X.
