A housebuilder is supporting an apprentice in York by contributing towards an AAT Level 3 qualification.

Persimmon Homes has offered a contribution towards training costs for Izabela Bogusiewicz, an employee at Safe and Sound Homes (SASH), allowing her to progress to work as an assistant accountant.

Ms Bogusiewicz said: "I’m incredibly grateful to Persimmon Homes for supporting my professional development through an Apprenticeship Levy transfer.

"Studying towards my AAT Level 3 qualification is a fantastic opportunity for me to build on my existing skills, develop my knowledge and continue progressing in my role at SASH."

SASH is a registered charity that works to prevent youth homelessness across the region.

Paul Curry, head of training and development at Persimmon, said: "We’re delighted we can help Izabela in the next stage of her career.

"The work SASH does in Yorkshire is invaluable, and we are proud to support them in developing and nurturing talent."
