A traditional agricultural show in North Yorkshire is set to return for a day of rural celebration.
The Aldborough and Boroughbridge Agricultural Show will take place at Newby Hall near Ripon on Sunday, July 26, marking the 111th edition of the long-running Yorkshire event.
The annual show offers a full day of countryside fun, entertainment, and farming heritage.
Amanda Gill, newly appointed president of the show, said: "I am deeply honoured to be appointed president of our traditional rural show. We are very grateful to the local community for its ongoing support.

"Agriculture is having a tough time, and it is more important than ever to work with our local community to demonstrate the importance of the rural economy to the public, our much loved countryside and the stability of the food chain for us all."
This year’s programme includes a creative writing competition, a rural wellbeing hub, and a "fittest farmer" challenge alongside long-standing favourites.
The show will open at 9.30am and will feature a variety of livestock and equine classes, including the popular cattle parade, horse and donkey showing, heavy horses, and private driving.
Stuart Gill, commercial director at Newby Hall, said: "The Aldborough and Boroughbridge Show is one of the highlights of our calendar and we are delighted to be welcoming it back to Newby again this year.
"It’s an amazing opportunity to enjoy some of the best of Yorkshire’s livestock, vintage vehicles, and locally grown produce as well as our spectacular gardens and adventure playground."
Family-friendly attractions include dog agility displays, terrier racing, children’s horticultural competitions, races, and fancy dress.

There will also be competitions in photography, baking, creative handicrafts, floral displays, and preserves.
Visitors can enjoy trade stands, a craft tent, vintage vehicles, cream teas, and a beer tent.
Discounted tickets are available online at www.newbyhall.com and cost £12.95 for adults (£16 on the gate) and £5 for children aged 12 to 17 (£6.50 on the gate).
A family ticket is £30 (online only), and children under 12 go free.
Newby season ticket holders receive a 50% discount on the day, with no booking required.
Tickets include access to Newby’s gardens and adventure playground.
Dogs are welcome on the show field but are not allowed in the gardens.
A free bus service will operate between Boroughbridge and Newby Hall, stopping at surrounding villages.
