A NORTH Yorkshire school has issued a change to its uniform for tomorrow (Friday) due to the hot weather.

Norton College has said its pupils are allowed to attend school in casual clothing as the heatwave continues.

Posting on social media, a spokesperson for the school said: "The forecast predicts that tomorrow will be the warmest day of the week. To help everyone stay comfortable, students are welcome to wear casual (non-uniform) clothing.

"Please ensure that clothing remains appropriate for school (for example, no crop tops or very short shorts).

"Regular school uniform will resume on Monday.

"Thank you for your support, and we hope everyone enjoys the warmer weather! "
