A care home in Tadcaster has marked its second birthday with an afternoon of music, laughter, and a few four-legged guests.

Highfield Care Home, part of the Barchester Healthcare group, celebrated the occasion on May 17, with a party featuring music, entertainment, and special guests.

Residents, relatives, and staff enjoyed live singing and dancing thanks to a performance by local musician Dominic Beresford, and spent time with Ernie, a therapy dog from Gentle Paws Therapy Dogs.

A resident at the home said: "What a fantastic, fun afternoon we had, great music, food, and some fizz."
