A cherished Christmas romcom will be presented live in concert in York this winter.

The Holiday will come to York Barbican on December 15 as part of an 18-date UK tour presenting the film in an entirely unique format.

The show will feature a live orchestra performing Hans Zimmer’s enchanting score, synced perfectly with the film showcased on an HD cinema-sized screen.

This compelling experience blends film and music in a way to provide a unique way to relive the movie that tugs on the hearts of many each holiday season.

The Holiday, starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black, spins an endearing tale of two women, from opposite sides of the planet, who switch homes for the holidays.

Iris moves into Amanda's house in sunny LA, whilst Amanda arrives in the snow-covered English countryside.

What ensues is an unexpected romance for both.

The film, written and directed by Nancy Meyers, is loved by many and cherished as a holiday classic.

The return of the in-concert experience follows last year’s sell-out tour.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on March 27.
