York's "Declutter Queen" is set to host a spring workshop to help residents clear out unwanted clutter.

Cher Casey will hold the event, titled The Art of Decluttering: Spring Clearing, will take place at SoJo Bistro in Acomb on Monday, March 16, from 7pm to 9pm.

It aims to give people practical strategies for refreshing their homes in a sustainable way.

Ms Casey, the founder of The Mindful Organiser, is known for her holistic and compassionate approach to decluttering helping individuals and families create calm and functional spaces.

Ms Casey said: "As daylight gets longer and energy begins to return, many people feel the instinct to refresh their homes."

The workshop will explore how clutter impacts mental wellbeing, how to approach decluttering projects of any size, and how to avoid burnout and unfinished piles.

Ms Casey will also share sustainable decluttering practices and offer advice on how to donate, recycle, or rehome items responsibly in and around York.

A key focus of the evening will be on clearing space in ways that support the environment and the broader community.

Tickets are £25 and include a complimentary warm drink.
