This article is brought to you by our exclusive subscriber partnership with our sister title USA Today, and has been written by our American colleagues. It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald.

HERE is the second part of our feature on our favourite photos of the year from our Press Camera Club.

Each month we pose a challenge to members of our Press Camera Club.

We give them a theme and they post their interpretation of that theme in our Press Camera Club Facebook group.

Each month, we pick a winner, who receives a £50 prize.

And today, we are looking back at some of those winning photographs – we are sure you will agree, they are worthy of the accolade.

July: The theme was 'Holiday Vibes' and our winner was Lisa Young who took a great photo on a day out to Scarborough.

August: The theme was 'Yorkshire' and our winner with a stunning photo of Scarborough North Bay at golden hour was Christina Chinnian.

September: This month's winner on the theme of 'Hidden York' was Garry Hornby who gave us an unusual view of York's Shambles framed through an stone archway.

October: The theme was 'autumn' and we all loved this view of York from Lendal Bridge by Matt Lightfoot.

November: Sue Gabbatiss was our winner with a striking image taken in Shambles on the theme of 'people and pets'.
