It is near Sir Francis’ former home Middlethorpe Manor, the Grade II-listed property said to be one of York’s finest houses.
The Victorian Stud Farm House has recently undergone a renovation overseen by the Blossom Street-based interior designer Plaskitt and Plaskitt.
Blenkin and Co, which is marketing Stud Farm House , said the “superb family living space” has been “brought fully up to date with a new kitchen and bespoke cabinetry”.
“It is offered as a luxurious and stylish family home complete with walled garden, outbuildings and off-street parking,” the property listing said.

Stud Farm House also includes an oak-framed conservatory and dining room, fit with a custom-made drinks cabinet and home bar.
“The elegantly proportioned drawing room is flooded with light on two sides, has a bespoke window seat with storage under and features a cast-iron stove with a gas flame within a traditional fireplace surround,” Blenkin and Co said.
Across the hallway is a large family room with a secret door concealed in a bookcase which opens into the study.
On the first floor is the master bedroom which comes with a large and luxurious bathroom.
A steep staircase concealed behind a door leads to the top floor landing with a skylight giving a view of York Minster.
And its grounds boast lawns and woodland.

The Press has previously reported how Sir Francis is said to have enjoyed Middlethorpe’s surroundings during his time as chairman at Terry's.
There is a classic story of an occasion in the mid-1930s when a tray of new centres was taken to the chairman's office.
Sir Francis tasted one, exclaimed "this is disgusting!", and hurled the entire contents of the tray out of the window.
But Sir Francis, who retired in 1958, two years before his death, was far from being a tyrant.
He was a perfectionist, respected for his technical know-how, and would take off his coat and get to work on a machine which was causing trouble.
