YORK St John's are set to host their biggest charity event of the year in correlation with Movember.
This coming Friday, November 14, York St John's will host a charity football match to help raise money and awareness for Movember.
The charity football match will see York St John's Men's Rugby Union team take on York St John's Men's Football team, with an exciting performance from York St John's Cheer to kick proceedings off.
The event will take place at York St John's Haxby Road Sports Complex and will kick-off at 6pm.
Each player will donate £3 for the match, helping to raise funds and awareness for men's health through November, as a part of the Movember charity.
The Movember charity uses funding to impact men's health both locally and globally, investing the money into health projects.
It sees people purposefully rock the moustache in the month of November, to help raise awareness.
Speaking on the event, Alastair Harris commented: "'Grow a Mo to save a Bro' is always a popular saying - two out of three male deaths are by suicide we can change the face of men’s mental health through talking.
"Both societies have worked closely to create an evening that’s not only packed with energy and teamwork, but also supports an incredible cause.
"Your support means the world – come down, cheer on the boys, and let’s make this our biggest fundraising success yet!"
