A care home in North Yorkshire is supporting breast cancer awareness with a colourful campaign.
Mount Vale Care Home in Northallerton is taking part in the Bra Bank initiative, encouraging residents, staff, and the wider community to donate unwanted bras.
The donated items will help raise funds for breast cancer research and promote sustainable recycling.
Trudi Gillespie, general manager at Mount Vale, said: "We are thrilled to launch our Bra Bank at Mount Vale Care Home.
"This initiative is a fantastic way for our residents, staff and the wider community to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer, while also supporting sustainable recycling practices."
The scheme helps to reduce textile waste and raise funds for the charity Against Breast Cancer, which receives £700 for every tonne of bras collected.
Donated bras are either reused or responsibly dismantled and disposed of, and the scheme also supports job creation in the UK.
