PETER Lawrence – the father of missing chef Claudia – is to address the press 2,000 days after his daughter disappeared.

Mr Lawrence is expected to give an update on the search, legislative progress in Parliament relating to missing people and the many ups and downs of the last few months.

Claudia was last seen on CCTV on March 18, 2009.

She failed to arrive for her morning shift at the University of York the following day, sparking a huge police search.

In May, a 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Claudia Lawrence. He was re-bailed in June.

Last month, a 46-year-old from the York area was arrested and bailed on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
