YORK City Knights coach Dave Woods is in negotiations about extending his stay at Huntington Stadium.

Woods joined the club in April 2010 and led the club to promotion to the Co-operative Championship via the play-offs.

Knights general manager Ian Wilson said: “We have had a positive discussion with Dave about next season and he has expressed his desire to stay at the club. Further talks are planned for this week and we hope to make an announcement soon.”
