The festival moved quickly into top gear over the weekend. Rachel Podger led a quintet from her chamber group, Brecon Baroque, giving star billing to recorder magician Pamela Thorby. David Skinner’s vocal quartet Alamire drew expert assistance from Jacob Heringman’s lute.
