TWO York lads have got another foot on the rugby league ladder after signing professional academy forms with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Flannan Naismith and Jack Anderson, both 16 and both former York City Knights scholarship players, have signed part-time contracts keeping them in the Super League club’s ranks until November 2013.

Both had left the Knights scholarship a couple of years ago to join the equivalent schemes at a top-tier outfit, Naismith, a prop, going to Wakefield and Anderson, a loose-forward, to Hull.
