YORK City Knights have confirmed that their Kingstone Press League Two clash with London Skolars will be played at Heworth ARLC on Sunday.

The Knights, still without a home after being sidelined from the Community Stadium scheme, will kick off at 3pm against the Skolars at Elmpark Way.

A statement on the Knights' website said: "This announcement follows positive discussions between both clubs and will see us working more closely around player recruitment, retention, sharing of best practice and additional club support.

"The Knights feel this is great news as it further strengthens the links to the local community game with York Acorn and New Earswick All Blacks already having assisted the club in providing training facilities over the past weeks."

The Knights have already staged home games this season at York RUFC's Clifton Park ground and at Featherstone Rovers' Post Office Road home.

Neil Jennings, Knights Director, added: "We are really pleased that Heworth have offered to help us by housing the game this weekend.

"It is a great venue and club and I know we will be working closely to support them where we can. As a sport we need a strong community club presence in the city and Heworth are obviously integral to this.

"The discussions we have had with Heworth have been positive and we will be taking these principles of working together to the other clubs too.

"I would like to thank Cath Murray and the committee for their time and positivity during the dialogue and look forward to the work we will be able to do with them in future."

Ticket prices are: adults £15, concessions £12 and children £5. Gates will open from 1pm.
