DUAL-REG star Jamie Shaul has been given a two-year contract by parent club Hull.
The 20-year-old full-back, who is on dual-reg with York City Knights, scored two tries on his Super League debut in Hull’s 34-22 win at Wakefield on Easter Monday and scored a hat-trick in their 62-6 Challenge Cup win over North Wales last month.
Said Hull coach Peter Gentle said: “We have seen significant improvements in Jamie’s game since he joined the first-team set-up and he is developing well.”
Shaul declared: “I’m over the moon to get a new one (contract) sorted.”
Meanwhile, the Knights have confirmed a one-month loan deal for half-back Ben Johnston from Castleford.
The deal will keep him at the Knights initially until the match against Keighley on June 9.
Ineligible to play at Catalans Dragons tomorrow, Johnston will be available for next Sunday’s Northern Rail Cup match against Doncaster.
