THE council, it seems, has seen sense and decided to reverse the appalling cuts to transport services for the disabled.
If councillors deserve praise for their timely change of heart, more should be reserved for the disabled groups and clubs who fought tooth and nail against the proposal.
Their campaign, right up to Pat Berry's emotional speech in the council chamber, is an example of how the residents of this borough can make a difference through determined action.
But the fight has only begun. Let all those who feel unjustly deprived of vital services stand up and say: enough is enough.
