YORK City striker Richard Pacquette delivered a three-time reminder to manager Martin Foyle to include him in his first-team plans.
Pacquette plundered a hat-trick in a friendly at neighbours Selby Town. He also had a penalty saved.
City’s fourth was an own goal by the hosts in a comfortable 4-1 victory.
Craig Nelthorpe played for 55 minutes as he recovered from illness and there was an eye-catching performance in midfield by youth team player Nick Thompson.
Selby’s reply came from last season’s top scorer, Brenton Leister.
City were playing their final official pre-season friendly today at AFC Halifax, kick off 3pm.
Admission prices are £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
