THE Football Association have revealed the net total fees paid by the non-league clubs to agents and intermediaries, with no club paying more money than York City.

In the designated period from February 1 2023 to February 1 2024, York have paid £128,902 to agents, which is an incredible £100,965 increase on the previous period.

City lead the way with Oldham Athletic the next closest on £82,161, whereas Darlington have paid the lowest fee of just £900 in the Vanarama National League North.

The Minstermen have also paid more in agents fees than 24 clubs within the EFL, including Northampton Town, Shrewsbury Town and Mansfield Town.

The Minstermen have brought in 33 different players in that period, which includes Mark Ellis, Danny Rowe and Ollie Tanner from last season, and three different managers in Mikey Morton on a permanent deal, Neal Ardley and Adam Hinshelwood.

15 players have left City since February 1 to different clubs, not including released players.

The players named included in agent fees are Ellis, Rowe, Curtis Main, Kevin Joshua, Thierry Latty-Fairweather, Zanda Siziba, Quevin Castro, Levi Andoh, Tyler Cordner, Callum Howe, Dipo Akinyemi, Olly Dyson, Callum Harriott, Alex Woodyard, Sam Sanders, Kai Kennedy, Dan Batty, George Sykes-Kenworthy, Will Davies and Billy Chadwick.

Agents will have been paid fees in helping their client, the player, in completing a move to a football club, whereas intermediaries are paid when aiding a transfer from one club to another.
