CALLUM HOWE and Marvin Armstrong have both been recognised in Team of the Week's after impressive displays against Aldershot Town on Saturday.

York City earned a crucial 1-0 victory over Aldershot at the weekend thanks to Lenell John-Lewis' late header, seeing Adam Hinshelwood celebrate his first win as manager

The efforts of both Howe and debutant Armstrong have earned a place in the Non-League Paper Team of the Week, with the pair playing their part both defensively and going forward. 

A clean sheet and an assist from Howe earned his position in the Team of the Week, whilst Armstrong produced a dominant display from midfield to help City to an important three points.

Elsewhere, York left-back Scott Barrow has been named in the Vanarama National League North Team of the Week for his performance at loan club Darlington.

Playing under former City boss Steve Watson, Barrow has enjoyed an emphatic start with the Quakers, helping the club in their recent rise out of the relegation zone. 

Barrow played a pivotal role in Darlington's 1-0 victory over Peterborough Sports, with the 35-year-old aiding his side to a second clean sheet in four matches.
