YORK City fans have until 3pm tomorrow to buy tickets for the all-ticket match at Darlington on Saturday.

Less than a fifth of the club's allocation for the National League North clash remained available yesterday.

For those unable to make it to the ticket office at Bootham Crescent, the club are offering the option to purchase the tickets over the phone and collect them from City's support liaison officer, Phil Howden, at Blackwell Meadows from 2.30pm on Saturday, prior to kick.

Howden said that, although the club were expecting the majority of tickets to be sold through more traditional channels, some fans had already responded to the pick-up option.

Of City's allocation of 800, fewer than 160 remained. Any unsold tickets will be returned to Darlington.

York City's sporting director Dave Penney has said he is hopeful the club can build on New Year's Day's win and clean sheet against North Ferriby United.

Quakers director John Tempest has called for fans to be on their best behaviour for the return of former manager Martin Gray, who quit Darlo for City three months ago.

The ticket office at Bootham Crescent - telephone 01904 624447 - is open today from 9.30am to 4.30pm and tomorrow from 9.30am to 3pm.
