GUISELEY will arrive at York City tonight without an away goal in nine hours and 25 minutes of football on their travels.
The West Yorkshire part-timers have failed to net in their last six fixtures on the road – stretching back to Reece Webb-Foster’s goal in a 1-1 draw at Maidstone on September 17.
That point is also the only one Guiseley have taken away from their Nethermoor Park home this term from a possible 33 in the National League.
The Leeds outfit have now failed to win on any of their last 18 trips since a 1-0 triumph at Woking on February 13, scoring just eight times during that sequence.
Former Oldham forward Jake Cassidy, who scored on his debut in the 6-1 home routing of the Minstermen last month, is the third-bottom side’s leading marksman with four goals.
Ex-City strikers Michael Rankine and Adam Boyes, meanwhile, have both hit the target three times this term, but the former was an 88th-minute replacement during Saturday’s 3-1 victory over a visiting Boreham Wood, with the latter an unused sub.
Rankine has started eight league contests and Boyes ten, while fellow one-time Bootham Crescent attackers Oli Johnson and Adam Smith are now plying their trades at Bradford Park Avenue and Alfreton respectively after kicking off the campaign with Guiseley.
Another ex-Misterman Will Hatfield is expected to start for Adam Lockwood’s men this evening, but on-loan Swindon striker Jermaine Hylton is unlikely to feature, having been sidelined for the last six matches.
Guiseley (probable): Maxted, East, Palmer, R Atkinson, Brown, Lowe, Purver, Walton, Hatfield, Preston, Cassidy.
