OUT-OF-FAVOUR York City defenders Ben Clappison and Josh Robinson have joined National League North outfit Boston United on loan until January.
Clappison departs having made ten appearances for the Minstermen, including nine starts, since a summer switch from Hull City.
But the 22-year-old has only featured once – during the 2-0 defeat at Southport - since Gary Mills’ return to the club as manager last month.
Robinson, also 22, has only managed one first-team squad under Mills and not made it on to the pitch under the former double-Wembley winning chief.
He has only been given five appearances, three as a substitute, since his arrival from Irish outfit Crusaders during the close season and last featured during September’s 2-0 defeat at Barrow.
The Minstermen now have five players out on loan with Richard Brodie (Macclesfield), Kaine Felix (Stockport) and Jack Higgins (Southport) the others. Mills has also released Fraser Murdoch and Franklyn Clarke during his second spell at the Bootham Crescent helm.
