TICKETS for York City's National League curtain-raiser at Maidstone United will go on sale next Thursday.

The Saturday, August 6 contest, which kicks off at 12.15pm due to live television coverage on BT Sports, is an all-ticket affair with provision for 450 away fans.

Tickets will be made available to season-ticket holders only, on the basis of one ticket per holder, on Thursday, July 21, Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 from 10.30am to 11.30 am prior to the pre-season friendly against Bolton at Bootham Crescent.

Any remaining tickets will then go on general sale from 11.30am.

Prices for the game are £15 adults, £12 concessions (over-65s and students), £7 youths (aged 11-16) and £2 juniors (under-11s).

Tickets can be bought in person from the ticket office or by telephone, but must be collected from Bootham Crescent by 3pm on Friday, August 5.

Elsewhere, National League bookmakers' favourites Forest Green have signed former Wimbledon and Salisbury striker Matt Tubbs from Portsmouth and ex-Bootham Crescent favourite Jon McCarthy, who now manages Chester, has taken Walsall defender Theo Vassell on a six-month loan deal.

Aldershot have recruited Callum Reynolds and Jim Kellermann, meanwhile, from Boreham Wood and Wolves respectively, with Braintree bringing in experienced former Crawley pair Jon Ashton and Lee Barnard.

One-time Nigerian under-23 international forward Daniel Uchechi has also joined Boreham Wood from Swedish outfit BSV Hurturkel, Eastleigh have swooped for Charlton defender Ayo Obileye and Roarie Deacon has swapped Crawley for Sutton United.
