GEORGE SWAN and Eddie Nolan have joined Emile Sinclair, Jake Hyde and Michael Coulson in the York City treatment room – but boss Russ Wilcox believes the quintet will all soon be back in action.

Swan and Nolan were held out of the Minstermen's 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Bootham Crescent on Wednesday night as "precautions" and their absences saw City have almost half a side in the stands.

But Wilcox, ahead of today's friendly against Sheffield Wednesday at Bootham Crescent (3pm), said: "They are not too bad.

"Coulson is very close, Jake Hyde is days away from being back training, Eddie Nolan was a precaution and George Swan had a tight thigh.

"I have said before in pre-season that I am not going to risk players. There is no point sending them out there to make the injury worse.

"They are all little niggles that are hopefully going to clear up once we get the Sheffield Wednesday game out of the way.

"I am not sure if they are going to be involved (today) but, hopefully, they will all be cleared up by the time we play Harrogate."
