Pocklington RUFC are hopeful that their New Year derby friendly at Driffield will go ahead tomorrow.
The game had originally been planned for Pocklington but was switched to Driffield where a pitch has frost covers.
And though Driffield had to call off a floodlit game with Beverley on Wednesday night, the clubs hope that a slow thaw will see them get much needed match action – with the game scheduled to kick off at 2pm.
Pocklington, who have not played since November 20, have virtually a full strength squad to pick from, and have selected 23 players with the only notable absentee being flanker Scott Littlefair who is unavailable.
Pocklington: from N Bennett, T Bennett, D Pickard, C Allen, T Nixon, JL Holbrough, JP Holbrough, E Rook, H Mitchell, B Rees, M Webber, C Morton, S Sellers, JP Kelly, A Wilson, M Biggin, T Peters, E Bean, D Wilson, K Durkin, M Davies, C Hyde, B Stephenson.
