YORK RI Ladies made the long trip to Burnley for a Junior Plate clash – winning 63-0 thanks to a fine all-round performance.

RI were soon camped in Burnley's half. Quick recycled ball got out to the wing for Captain Little to score the first try.

RI kicked for the lineout, secured the ball and started to maul the ball up towards the try line. Kirsty Parr took the ball from the back of the maul and scored in the corner.

The next try was a carbon copy of the second off the back of the maul – this time Parr set up fly half Gemma Webster to go under under the posts.

Burnley then left the wing open for Little to go over for her second try of the day.

After some good work by the forwards at the breakdown, Parr ran down the left wing, shrugging off two tackles to score her third try.

After the break, Vicki Woodgate read Burnley's play, intercepting the ball and running half the pitch to score her try.

Flanker Grace Field managed to use her pace and strength down the wing to score before Parr grabbed a fourth try and Webster her second. Little finished the game with her third try thanks to a storming run down the wing.

The game however was marred by winger Lucy Peet breaking her collarbone, meaning she will miss the rest of the season.
