Pocklington’s set-piece dominance set the foundations for a 31-17 home win over Driffield in North One East.
Pock moved into a 20-0 lead through tries from number eight Matt Davies, who strolled over unopposed, right wing Charlie Allen, who popped up in midfield to slice through, and flanker Jack Holbrough, who completed a lineout catch and drive.
Full-back Jack Fletcher added a conversion, while fly-half Henry Mitchell kicked a drop goal.
Driffield grabbed a lifeline in the last minute of the first half when centre Gary Stephenson scored and Robin Kitching converted.
It was more even in the second half, with Fletcher and Kitching swapping penalties before Holbrough got his second try from another lineout drive.
Driffield full-back Danny Smith nipped under the posts for Kitching to convert.
Fletcher replied with another penalty and, though Driffield threw the ball about in the closing stages, third-placed Pocklington held out to win with something to spare.
