York All Blacks opened their Women’s Rugby League division two campaign with a 38-20 victory at Stanningley.
Two first-half tries put York 8-0 up before Stanningley hit back to level. The second half saw All Blacks goal three out of their five tries with Stanningley scoring two.
Tries came from Chelsea Moore (3), Jenny Garwood, Millie Brown, Teri Chu, Natalie Hatfield and player-of-the-match Bev Langan, with conversions added by Moore (3) Anyone interested in joining the All Blacks can phone Phil on 07766 465086. Training is on Mondays at York Acorn and Wednesdays at New Earswick, at 6.30pm.
