TRAMWAYS ‘B’ were denied a full house by Severus ‘A’ player Steph Barker as they won 8-1 in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Tramways were put in the driving seat by Natalie Farmeary, Jayne Janes and Tina Platt before Barker replied.

Bev Harton and Tracey Farmeary secured victory before a clean sweep in the pairs added the gloss.

Dawn Exton and Cara Britton gave Fulfordgate a 2-0 lead at Burnholme, whose Sarah Barker responded.

Anne Bass restored Gate’s advantage, but Caroline Whittaker and Marj Pearson levelled. Pearson was joined by Lynne Wilstrop to edge the home team in front.

Michelle Britton and Cara Britton set up a decider, which saw Exton and Bass join forces to snatch victory.

Sandra Brice top-scored for Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ as they recovered from a 2-1 deficit at Edinburgh Arms.

Sue Tate started a six-match winning surge for Ox, who won 7-2.

Marcia ‘B’ hosted their ‘A’ team and they were all-square entering the pairs. Clair Cooper and Pat Cairns edged the ‘A’ team in front and colleagues Stacy Morris and Babs Harrison sealed the win.

Jo Hodges, Ruth Norman and captain Sue Lowery gave Tramways ‘A’ a good start against visiting Severus ‘B’, whose Michelle Kelly and Dot Sellars narrowed the gap.

Carole Layne restored Tramways’ two-game advantage, but Kelly and Sellars teamed up to narrow the gap before Hodges and Layne completed the win.

Sue Gillan and Angie Kaya secured the visitors’ final point as they went down 5-4.

Division two leaders Bootham Conservative Club raced into a 3-0 advantage before Burton WMC levelled through Sheila Harrison, Dawn Barker and Sandra Pallister.

Barker and Embleton edged the visitors in front, Dot Trousdale and Julia Hagyard set up a decider, which saw captain Janet Foster and Jackie Church snatch match points.

Second-placed Shoulder were ousted Green Tree 5-4, Sandra Flintoft and Sonya Love taking the decider.

Clifton closed the gap as Karen Hodgson, Linda Turgoose, Cris Turgoose and Brenda Kellett made it 4-2 against Acomb heading into the pairs. Roz Richmond and Kate Rankeillor narrowed the gap, but Clifton won the remaining legs for a 6-3 triumph.

Kath Powell won the opening game for Saddle against visiting Jubilee ‘A’, whose Brenda Dawe, Heather Bulmer, Charlotte Smith, Julie Oliver and Vicki Capes clinched match points before the pair
