RALPH BUTTERFIELD School came out on top at the annual High 5 Netball tournament staged at Haxby netball club.
It was the 29th time the club has hosted the event and squads from New Earswick, Robert Wilkinson, Wigginton and Headlands joined Ralph Butterfield in competing.
The tournament was umpired and run by ladies and junior members of the Haxby club and was played as a round robin.
Ralph Butterfield and Headlands won all their matches and drew with each other.
The winners were decided by goal average, with Ralph having both scored more and conceded fewer goals than Headlands.
Sarah Watts, one of only five International netball umpires in England, came along to present the shield, the individual trophies and certificates to all the players.
Watts took part in the event in 1988 when a winner as a pupil at Ralph Butterfield.
