A TEAM of 30 Tadcaster Swim Squad swimmers won 16 gold medals at the Team Jorvik Swimming Club Viking Sprints gala at the Leeds Aquatic Centre in Leeds.
The Taddy contingent swam in 90 races achieving two speeding tickets, 16 gold medals, 13 silver medals and seven bronze medals, along with 24 other place medals.
There were also 70 personal best times and 11 short course squad records for Tadcaster swimmers.
The gold medal winners were James Ball, 13, of Tadcaster, Georgia Banks, 13, of Tadcaster, Tadcaster 13-year-old Thomas Carswell (three), 14-year-old Chloe Collins (two), of Tadcaster, Garforth's Lucy Dobson, 15, Alex Heard, 14, of Stutton, Brayton's Marija Hiscott, 11, Daniel Hunter, 14, of Stutton, York's Megan Purdy, 14, Katie Took, 12, of Tadcaster, and 15-year-old Lily Walker (two), of Newton Kyme.
The other Tadcaster competitors were: Emily Ball, Ethan Baylin, Thomas Bleanch, Nick Brennan, Jemima Browning, Eleanor Cahill, Aerin Catt, Ben Colling, Oli Hackwell, Ellie Heard, Sophie Lee, Rachael McHenery, Holly Moss, Emily Pattinson, Lydia Pattinson, Emma Paxton, Evie Romer, Hannah Sharpe and Ellie Walker.
